Operate With Intelligence

What this application is

Operate With Intelligence(“OWI”) is business operations software. A company connects the systems it already runs on — its mail, its books, its job or project tracker — and OWI assembles what those systems say into one picture of how the work actually moves: what is agreed, what is waiting, what is stuck, and how long things take.

That picture becomes reviews and reports the business reads. A person at OWI approves every one of them before a client sees it. The software proposes; a human decides. Nothing is published, sent or posted on anyone’s behalf.

It is operated by With Intelligence Inc., a Florida corporation, at www.operatewithintelligence.com.

What connecting a Google account grants

Connecting Google is optional, and it is one consent screen. These are the permissions the application requests, in full — the same list the code sends to Google:

• Read Gmail. https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly — mail is read so the software can find the operational facts a review rests on: a quote never followed up, an invoice unpaid, a question left unanswered. This includes message text, because summarising a thread means reading it.
• Identify the account. openid, email and profile — so we know which account granted access and can show it back to the person who granted it.

That is the entire list. There is no fifth permission and no second consent screen.

Limited Use

We use Google user data only to provide the Operate With Intelligence service the client asked for. We do not sell it. We do not use it to train general-purpose models. A named person approves anything that goes out.

What it cannot do

These are not undertakings we are asking anyone to take on trust. Each one is a capability that was never requested, so Google refuses it at the token whatever our software tries.

• It cannot send email. Not a reply, not a forward, not a message of any kind. The service has no mail-sending capability at all, and an automated test in our codebase fails the build if one is ever added.
• It cannot delete, modify, label or move mail. Read-only means read.
• It does not access Google Calendar.No Calendar permission of any kind is requested, so events, their times, their invitees and the account’s free and busy hours cannot be read — and nothing can be created, moved or cancelled, and nobody invited on the account’s behalf. An earlier version of this application requested calendar.readonly; it was removed when Calendar was taken out of the permissions this app asks for.
• It does not access Google Drive, Docs or Sheets. No Drive permission of any kind is requested, so documents and spreadsheets cannot be opened, listed or searched — not even one somebody sends us a link to. An earlier version of this application requested the narrow drive.file permission; it was removed, because nothing in the product used it, and a permission asked for and not used is one a person was asked to grant for no return.
• It does not sell personal information, and it does not use this data to train general-purpose AI models.

Who uses it

• Businesses that engage OWI.A client connects their own systems into their own client room — one company, one governed workspace. A client can reach their workspace and nobody else’s; that boundary is enforced in the database itself rather than only in the application.
• OWI staff. Staff run Mission Control, the internal side of the same product, where the work for each client is prepared and approved before it is delivered.

It is software for businesses. It is not directed at children, and it is not a consumer mail client.

Withdrawing access

Google access can be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. It takes effect immediately and needs nothing from us. You can also write to us and we will disconnect it from our side.
